Personality type: Phlegmatic. INFJ

I am almost never bored. I require very little stimulation. A walk in a meadow, a book of good poetry, listening to the sound of a piano from the house next door. The best times for me are haiku glimpses. Moments of clear insight. I like to sit and think or share good conversation with a friend. A born skeptic, I thrive on Socratic dialogue and the world of ideas.

I was raised on the shore of Kootenay Lake. When I dream at night the water of that lake is there, forming the dark and moving background. I love to go out on a lake in a canoe. When I write poetry there is a lapping and shimmering in my mind. In Howard Gardner's world of multiple intelligence's, I think I am #8, naturalist intelligence. (An Elementary Teacher's Guide to Multiple Intelligence's by Dr. Elizabeth Rhodes Offutt - is one of the books we sell on this subject) In my first year of college I took a botany course and loved it the most. I got 100% on field identification. Remembering and spelling the Latin names, however, was another story. Read more about my paradoxical struggle with spelling.
